J.W. Maus Paint Store and U.S. Post Office on the corner of Chestnut and Second streets- This photo is in pretty bad shape, but I can tell the men are painters. The man sitting at far left is sitting on a can of varnish, while several others hold buckets and small brooms. Oddly, there is a woman in the center. Even though this photo says taken "about 1890," the American flag has 48 stars. This would mean it was taken some time after Feb 14, 1912, the day Arizona entered statehood and became the 48th state.
