  • Same school, but a modern-day shot. The building was constructed in 1898. It underwent major renovation in 1929. A slanted roof was removed and the brick was repainted. After the building was torn down in the later half of the 20th century, Sheridan Court, a home for elderly residents, was built.

  • McKinley Grade School, first grade class- This school was located on Arch Street where the playground now is.
  • (05.19.55) George Burns, of 1525 Lynn St., who served as janitor at the McKinley School for 41 years and is 84, plans to continuing working as long as possible. He began working in Sept. 1914.
