(Aug. 1957) The East End Civic Association is considering a plan to sponsor a work relief project at the evergreen plantation on Bunker Hill where more than 3,000 pine trees were destroyed during a brush fire, caused by an ember from a passing train. Peter Harris is the president of the organization that sponsored the planting of 18,000 trees in 1942. Loss around $30,000.
