(9.15.53) Chief Halftown, who appeared at the Munsee Indian Dance Show, is presented with a gift from Albert Steibing, secretery of the Shamokin Optimist Club. Chief Haltown, a full-blooded Seneca Indian, was presented with a electric clock, the case of which was made from anthracite coal. More than 3,000 people saw the Munsee Indian Dancers, a group of Explorer Scouts from Allentown, who presented a program at the Coal Township High School Stadium under sponsorship of the Shamokin Optimist Club.
