(1927) The Kulpmont Orange Buds were Class “C” Champions of the South Anthracite region in 1927, a league comrpised of teams from Shamokin to Shenandoah. Their opponents that year were the Atlas Wolves, Brady Wildcats, Marion Heights Indians, Mount Carmel Maroons, Shenandoah Red Jackets, Glover Hill Buffaloes, Shamokin Marshalton A.C., Lost Creek, MacAdoo and Trevorton. Coach was J. Backus. Members of the team were, front row, from left, Walter “DeKalb” Kalbarczyk, Joseph Washko, Michael Orlando, Andy Feudale, Fred Dallabrida, Paul Veach and Mike Mascolic; second row, Louis Yob, Albert “Buffalo” Avellino, Daniel Scanzoni, Ralph Bridy, John “Yellow” Washko and Marino Scanzoni; back, Emory Getchy, Michael “Red” Stewart, Joseph Lutz, Joseph D'Alexander, and Jimmy Feudale; back, John “Lefty” Lancasky, Frank Shaulinski, Tony Varano, Vince Carroll and Hanibal “Nibbles” Mirarchi. Team mascot was Edward Dallabrida, owner of Dal Art Studios.
