  • (1894) St. Stanislaus Parochial School & Church- About 1870, Rev. Joseph Juszkiewicz was sent to Shamokin by the bishop of the diocese for the purpose of organizing a congregation of Polish Catholics. A site on the corner of Vine and Race streets was chosen, and a small frame building was erected. In 1874, the foundation for a new church (seen here) were laid.
  • St. Stanislaus School- Plans to build a new rectory at a cost of $218,000 and refurbish the exterior of St. Stans at a cost of $82,000 was announced June 28, 1980. The former rectory was demoed under this program. Demo started May 1981.
