St. John's Reformed Church- Only 38 people attended the organization meeting in 1855. On May 5, 1867, the first church was built on Eighth Street, with the Sunday School portion of the church completed in 1890. On Dec. 16, 1894, a brand new church (seen here) was built to accomidate a congregation that had grown to 400 people.
