(1914) This steam-operated model of the Cameron Colliery, which later became the Glen Burn Colliery, is shown as it appeared on a float in 1914, prior to appearing in a parade to celebrate Shamokin's 50th Anniversary. The model was designed by the Evan Powell, an engineer for Susquehanna Collieries Company, which operated the Cameron Colliery for a time. The driver of the float was Frank Stahlnecker, who lived in a row of homes adjoining the colliery.
