The City Garage, the corner property (seen here) and Kershner Buick at 201-207 Commerce St. (background) were torn down in late-March of 1976. Money to tear down the buildings came from a grant affiliated with a project on Bunker Hill. The city sold the lot to Matty Burt and Michael Bower for $101,000.
