(05.21.1981) An fire deemed arson destroyed the Monarch Laundry Building along Fifth Street in Shamokin. Several fires were set inside the large 3-story brick building. The fire was spotted shortly after 9 p.m. At the time, the building was owned by Milbrand Realty.
