(1914) This float, sponsored by the Shamokin Lodge of Elks, appeared in a Shamokin parade in 1914. The man driving the car in this picture is William B. Lewis, who owned the J.H. and C.K. Eagle Silk Mill in the early 1900s. The women seated in the back are Williams' wife, Anna L. Lewis, left, and Elizabeth Lewis Scott. The man in the passenger seat is Jacob Neihoff. The child is Florence Winkelspect. The picture was most likely taken outside the Williams' home on Sixth Street, Shamokin.
