Welcome!! My name is Larry Deklinski and I'm a photographer from Ranshaw, Pa.
For the past five years I have worked at The News-Item in Shamokin. Recording history with my camera is something I enjoy doing, so I'm excited to share my work with readers of The News-Item. I work two jobs in the summer, so I don't have much time to go out and shoot on my own like I once did. But, there's always something new!
I have photos for everyone to enjoy. Albums include shots of Knoebels, lightning, unique and strange things, coal mining remnants and a ton of old photos of Shamokin.
I just added a few more Knoebel photos and I am still adding photos and extending captions of the Thomas photos.
Just to make things clear, I make little to no money from the Thomas photos or my own photos. I say that because I want you to know it's not my intention to make money with these photos, but instead to give you an understanding of what Shamokin and Coal Township once looked like, and even possibly for you to find a long-lost relative.
